About Fine Art Cross

This is a family business, owned and operated by Lori Catlin Garcia (the designer) and her beloved nephew Dan Catlin (the everything-else guy). We believe that God gave us certain gifts and talents, and we want to use them to glorify Him.

We have a rather unusual relationship that is a part aunt/nephew, a small part sibling-rivals and a huge part great friends. Dan is the oldest son of Lori’s oldest brother, and he is only five years her junior. When they were growing up, Lori sometimes liked playing with Dan. Other times she wished that Mom/Grandma would ban him from the house, like the time that he sat on her new Barbie Country Camper and crushed it to pieces.

Both Dan and Lori were born in Illinois. As luck would have it, Lori moved to Connecticut after graduate school, while Dan moved to Rhode Island where he was stationed with the Navy. They both got married, and they liked each other’s spouses a lot. The foursome formed the east coast faction of the Catlin clan. Many years of holidays, weekends, and vacations spent together cemented their relationship. Even though Dan eventually moved back to the Midwest, they still continue to see each other as often as possible. The business is conducted, for the most part, via phone and email.
